As a winemaker, bé understands – and appreciates – the relationship between the land and those who tend it in order to produce wines that are an authentic expression of where they are grown.
Born and raised in the Valley of Bonnievale, from a generation fruit and grape farming family.
bé pursued her gifted talents to study Viticulture and Oenology at Stellenbosch in the Western Cape, South Africa. Finishing in the top percentile of her class she soon showed why.
After years of apprenticeship in the international wine world, America, South Africa and Italy. Over her ten year she built up a knowledge base assisting her in her years of sourcing wine for different markets.
She started working for Kathy and Gary Jordan at their farm in South Africa as a cellar hand.
Adding to this she worked at the Jordan wine farm in Calafornia, Vignamaggio in the heart of the Chianti Classico. Creating a name for herself soon she was appointed by Paul René, Haute Cabriere, and Carmen Stevens to name a few.
bé also took the role as an assistant winemaker at Amani Vineyards in Stellenbosch finishing her last year of studies for Cellar management at Elsenburg as an extra subject.
She started with her own brand called bé Premier Lot and made wine for a couple of years until she started working more closely in marketing and sales around wine exports and imports to Africa, China and Italy.
